Antepartum Doulas
Not all pregnancies are created equal. Sometimes complications arise that require a little extra specialized support. Antepartum Doulas do just that. They will help support your emotional, physical needs along side additional practical supports such as help with meal planning/prep, daily household tasks, sibling care, help with the nursery, etc.
Antepartum means "before birth". A pregnant person who is experiencing complications such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, hypertension, unexplained bleeding, low amniotic fluid, multiples or anxiety could benefit from having an antepartum doula.
The primary goal of an antepartum doula is to help reduce your stress level, listen to your concerns, affirm your feelings, provide resources, allow time to rest, and help prepare you with the confidence you need for delivery day.
